Cycling Victoria Advises Against Bunch Riding

There is no denying that all of us are eager to get back outside and eager to ride with our training buddies again whether that be along Beach Road, up to Kinglake or out in the countryside.

Daniel Andrews, Premier of Victoria announced a Gradual Easing of Restrictions (DHHS) on Monday that as of 11.59pm on Tuesday 12th May, social distancing restrictions will still be lifted. The State of Victoria will continue to be in a state of emergency until at least May 31st.

The slight easing of coronavirus restrictions announced includes a fifth reason to leave home: visiting friends and family: but it comes with a stark warning; “only if you need to”.

Government restrictions for sporting activities have now increased to 10 people in a group provided you can maintain social distancing practises of at least 1.5m apart, it is not indoors, and it is not competitive.
